TRC: Process for foreigners entering Vietnam for employment

🔹 STEP 1: Entry Approval Letter

⏳ Processing time: 03 working days

Sponsoring Company:

• Enterprise Registration Certificate (ERC)

• Signed and sealed application documents

Foreign Employee:

• Passport bio-page (scanned copy)

• Portrait photo

• Preparation of full application dossier

👉 Upon approval, an Entry Approval Letter will be issued.

🔹 STEP 2: Entry into Vietnam

💰 Visa stamping fee at airport:

• 55 USD (single-entry visa)

• 75 USD (multiple-entry visa)

Required upon arrival:

• Printed Entry Approval Letter

• 3x4 cm photo

• Original passport

The service provider will assist with airport pick-up and visa stamping procedures (end of this service stage).

👉 Visa will be issued upon arrival at the Vietnamese airport.

🔹 STEP 3: Temporary Residence Declaration (MANDATORY)

⏰ Within 12 hours of entry

• The hotel or accommodation provider must complete temporary residence registration.

• Failure to comply may result in a penalty of up to VND 5,000,000.

👉 Registration can be completed online or at the local police authority.

🔹 STEP 4: Work Permit Application

⏳ Processing time: 4 – 6 weeks

🖥 Submission: Online + in-person

Process:

• Job position approval (job posting requirement): 05 working days

• Work Permit issuance: 10 working days (calculated from the date of submission of a valid dossier)

Required documents:

Sponsoring Company:

• Enterprise Registration Certificate

• Company workforce information

Foreign Employee:

• Health check certificate

• Criminal record (Judicial Record No. 1)

• Degrees and confirmation of work experience

• Original passport and visa

• 3x4 cm photo
